Hi, new member, longtime reader. This site has been an amazing resource for us preparing to get chick's, raise chicks, what to feed, what they need, do t need, you get the idea.

We recently rehomed our bantam easter egger rooster to a farm. Before leaving, Sunshine the rooster left us some gifts :)

Our silkie is sitting on a clutch of five silky eggs. We are estimating that Saturday will be day 21. Shes inside away from the other two hens, hanging out in a large bin all set up for her and her chicks.

Here's my question...our cuckoo Muran and white plymoth Rock are "sharing" a clutch of eggs. 3 or so are Bay's the Muran and 2 or 3 are Daisy's (white Plymouth). I've candled today and am unsure what I'm seeing. With our silkie eggs we clearly see the veins, and actual movement now that we're in the home stretch. When looking at the Muran and Plymouth eggs (roo was easter egger bantam) I'm seeing some eggs that are translucent and a few that look like something could be developing but we don't see any veins. Our backup is to let the chickens ride this out and if nothing happens fine. I'm hoping one of each would be fertile. Going to try and attach pics so you can see what I'm looking at.
