Hello!
New poster here just getting started in raising chickens on a larger scale and we've found it will be cheaper to mix our own feed, but I'm having a hard time finding Fertrell's Nutri-Balancer.
Is there a supplier on the net? And for those that use it, how large a quantity does it come in and how much does it cost? Is there any other supplement I can use that may be better or more cost effective?

Thank you!

Countryside Natural sells 60# for $39.00 (1-6), $38.50 (7-15), $38.00 (16+) -- all prices may have changed since being published in Aug 2007.

7 Springs Farm also sells the Nutri-Balancer, current catalog price is $45.00.

You may want to also include in your feed fish meal for protein, kelp meal for vitamins and minerals, aragonite for calcium, flax seed for Omega-3, alfalfa meal, and DE. You can get an idea of things to include by looking at the ingredient list for Countryside's poultry feeds. It looked like all the ingredients can be purchased separately from them. Just call and ask for a copy of their price list. They're a great company to work with. They may even tell you how much to include in your mix.
