I've got a kid of weird question...How can you tell if a chicken has a fever? My Dark Cornish is eating well, and she layed her egg today, but she feels hot on her feet. Even when she comes in from outside. She did have me worried earlier, when she fell over sideways a couple of times. But when I scooped her up, she acted fine. Her poop is fine, no nasal discharge or sneezing, wheezing, anything. There is no evidence of mites or any other parasites. She looks healthy. She just seems a little warm on her feet, and then that falling episode. She layed her egg after the falling over, so I am wondering if she was just sleepy when she was grooming herself?
I've moved her into the garage to stay warm, but am really worried about her! I can't find anything wrong, so does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!
Shelly
