Few days old chick with what looks like an abcess (graphic pics)

I think it's an abcess, I'm not sure though. What do you think and what do you think I should do? It's a welsummer and it acts just fine so far. I got them wed. and saw this just a minute ago. It is not on it's vent just in case you can't tell fromthe pic. It's about a quarter inch below I guess. This is after I gently washed it off with a rag and water.

Do you think this is where the umbilical cord was?

Yes. Isolate the chick from any brood mates until that heals.
