My girls are 11weeks old now.
I live in Jacksonville, Fl.

Do I need to do anything different in the coop for winter?
Also...I’m seeing lots of feathers on ground. Are they molting or are they too young?
Will they start laying eggs in a few months even if it’s winter ( but not really bad b/c it’s Fl)
Thank you so much!!!!

Yes, it's the length of the daylight hours, not the climate that determines whether or when hens will lay.

You can "juice" the length of the day for your pullets by putting a low wattage light on a timer to add enough light to equal at least twelve hours of daylight. I like to do it at the front end of the day to come on before sunrise.

If you just let nature take its course you could see eggs soon regardless, or at least, by the end of January.
