Just wanted to share this idea with those who are feeding fermented feed and are at a loss as to how to deal with it freezing on below-freezing days. I made a warmer utilizing the cookie tin warmer idea that many are already using to keep flock water from freezing.

I constructed a wood frame for my feed troughs to slip into, with legs that raise it several inches high so the cookie tin warmer can slide under the feed troughs. My troughs are made of plastic and are rectangular, but this can be adapted to any size/shape feed vessels by cutting the openings in the plywood frame to fit.
