The FFA poultry auction will be held Sunday Oct 15th at the Poultry bldg. at the Topsfield Fairgrounds. Auction sellers can bring birds and poultry related items starting at 9am with auction beginning at 12 noon.
All chickens turkeys and guinea fowl must be NPIP blood tested to be sold.
Waterfowl and pigeons may be sold without being tested.
Sellers will receive 75% of selling price with the FFA receiving 25%.
This is an annual event well attended which generates funding to allow students who qualify to attend FFA National Convention in Indianapolis.
Non poultry items for a single seller are limited to keep the auction at a manageable size. Donations (100% to the FFA) and consignments are needed and are gratefully accepted.
All consigners and donors will receive written confirmation of their contributions to the FFA fundraiser for tax purposes.
Baby chicks hatched during the fair will be sold in lots by the dozens so if you are looking to buy next years layers at bargain prices be sure not to miss this sale. Chicks are straight run and are of various popular egg producing varieties.
