Well Fudgie...happy to report I hatched some of the eggs I will be sending as a fertility test and I am stunned it went so well. It is my first attempt with a new Brinsea bator. I did still use a LG as a hatcher, though, and I had some brainwires cross with the days and stopped the turner early so I just wasnt expecting them to pretty much all hatch. Have 14 chicks hatched, 3 still pipping, which only leaves four that might not do anything and 4 that got tossed out earlier during candling. So I hope the PO treats them nicely and your FFA kids do as well. Will post pics later. All chicks are cute but these guys are seriously adorable. Plus, some of them hatched yesterday on DS#1's bday from his favorite hen!! Yes, I think the chickens are breaking down into theirs and mine.

Yeah, I think the kids will splash them over every photo show they can so i better get started. They are just so excited THEIR chickens had THEIR own babies.

besides its a good excuse/rationalization for house chicks..."blink blink" had to test them to make sure it would work out well for the FFA kids...didnt really expect it to go this well...
