Fiber One

Can chickens eat Fiber One cereal? I read that they eat oatmeal or wheat, but what about Fiber One? Would it be a treat or a disaster?

I would feed it, sure! If it is too large for them to gulp down or peck to bits, you can always soak it in warm water- they LOVE soaked food. Even soaked raisins.

They'll eat if just fine. No need to soak, that's what beaks are for, tearing up food. I wouldn't give a whole box to just 2-3 hens, but it's a fine thing for them to eat. My birds get lots of stale cereal from my father-in-law.

I would not provide Fiber One instead of feed. Carbohydrates are not so high on the list of dietary needs for chickens. If you want to give it to them, consider it as a treat and limit accordingly.
