Field trip

What a cute picture! :hugs:love
Yes people look strange at you when you're traveling with ducks. On the way back home from a vet visit last summer i had to stop aside a sheriff's car with Limpy sitting in a plastic box on the passenger seat. He looked at the officer, the officer looked at him, Limpy rasped (we both had the windows down) and the sheriff was so puzzled that he almost forgot to drive off when the light went green. I was totally expecting to be pulled over, but nothing…

Our cops would definitely bust me. We live in town and we are not zoned for ducks. Our old neighbors flipped their lids the last 18 months and have been harassing us (to the point that we had to go to court three times). They would call the cops on us, code enforcement, and even took it as far as calling CPS on us stating that we abuse and neglect our children (Mind you, one of my children is in the public eye and has a public athlete page that is usually updated with pictures daily so if he was so abused, neglected, and starved, he wouldn't be able to do what he does).

Anyway, they have called animal control and code enforcement many times. I have paid more fines than you can believe for these ding dongs. And every time I've lied and said I'd get rid of them. Yep. I am a big, fat liar! Oh well.

Thankfully the horrible renters have moved out and haven't made a false report since September but we still keep Chuck and Buck out of law enforcements sight. In fact, as we were driving home today, I was about to get stuck at a red light near a cop so I turned into a gas station just so he wouldn't see.

Our little town all know and love C&B but all it takes is one jerk. We still love our outings though and the kids all know to say "Were just duck sitting" if they want to mess with us. We even have a back up of a well known person in town that will always say YES if someone calls and asks her if she owns C&B
