Fierce predator! *Killing us with cuteness*

I dont know were they come from. I have had 2 so far this year. A little gray cat (dunno age) and an orange stripped one. I set a havahart trap for a groundhog I had under the barn and next day I see this little gray cat in it. I figure it is a feral cat and when I open the cage it will latch onto my leg like a lion. So I back way off and lift the door open staying as far away from the opening as possible. Instead of bolting for the woods it slowly walks out turns and starts rubbing on my leg purring lol. I say "Welp guess I got a new mouse killer". Then one day it just disapeared. Last month I saw the orange one out by our pond. I put food and water out for it and it hung around for a week then gone. Cats are great for rodent control around the farm and the cost of cat food far exceeds thier mouse control. Wish I could get them to stay. If I had to guess I would say the coyotes are getting them.

Congrats, we just had 2 wild ones dumped a month ago. They are now named Stuart ( the look what I can do guy ) and Spot. Two weeks ago we had a four week old puppy dumped, half dead. Only God could have guided her to the house, she was so small, young and dehydrated. $125.00s later we have a new yard dog named Angel. DH is convinced she will save someones life someday. A life with a purpose. You are a good person to recognize the value of a life. Good luck!

Awww... new kitties are the best!

(BTW, we ALSO have a cat named Priss... the girlfiend "named" her "Prisszilla" but I named her Priss 'cause she reminded me of the Daryll Hannah character from Blade Runner)

Perhaps you should name her "Bang" as a witty (read: geeky) reference to her exclamation point tail and her startling ability to be off like a shot when chased around the yard.

LOL! I call her Prisszilla too! Her and her littermates were named after characters from Gone with the Wind but I always thought...nah, she's a Blade Runner kinda gal. Backflips, vacant look and all.

My wife has brought in 4 cats at different times, first one was a stray when we were house sitting for her grandparents (her grandma always feeds the strays too), then a Kitten she found on the side of the road that was thin and so passive, she gave her away, then a classmates cat that her mother couldn't keep any longer for health reasons, the classmate took her cat back at the end of the school year when she got a job. The last one I named nonsense because it had them bad, my wife tried a bunch of things to try and cure it but nothing helped, so she told me to shoot it because winter was coming and I didn't like her touching it and risking Toxoplasmosis because we were pregnant at that time.

heeheehee I had a story like that, someone had poisoned the mother with antifreeze & even tho I am terribly allergic to cats, there was no way I'd leave the tiny thing under the porch where I could hear it crying. Its eyes were barely open, & he wobbled on skinny furry legs. He was the only one I could reach but there were 4 other kittens. I took him home, gave him a bath & bottle fed him for several hours. He was a grey kitty, about 14 or 15 days old. Poor little guy slept all sprawled out on a soft pillow, had breakfast with mme the next morning, eyes bathed & then I called United Paws who came & picked him up. They also found a way to get to the other kittens, & the weirdest thing is, these kittens ended up being nursed by a DOG!!

Now, the li'l grey kitty has a home with an adoring old granny who spoils his butt rotten. (The rest of him too!) I named him Womble, but I think he's got a new name now.

I think I just died from cuteness overload! That kitten is way too cute! What a charmer.
