Fiesty Chap

We have recently got a Barnvelder cockerel and it is very fiesty. It likes to bite and since we have children near it what can we do to try and tame this new chap?

Personally, I wouldn't keep a rooster that is pecking at my kids - especially if they're younger. There are plenty of people on here who will tell you how to tame one, but just because he learns to behave around you does not mean he will still be nice to the kids. This is your decision, of course. I'm just sharing my opinion.
