oh no may have lost my twins....not sure if is blood ring but both yolks seems to be 1 and got darker but not sure if they are just growing and im just panicing its not a full circle its a bit here and a bit there but also dont want an exploding egg either ok here is best i can pic

you sure its not just veins?

i keep all my eggs in the incubator until the hatch day, then if they don't hatch i leave them there for 3 days after....

i don't take any eggs out in case i do mistake an egg to be 'dead'


also, maybe if it is a blood ring, one embryo could still ok, so leave it there! the other baby as it grows will just absorb the extra yolk.

Let it go for longer. It will not explode unless it has cracks in it. Usually the worst that happens is seeping. Toss it if it starts to smell though.

yeah! my little roo flogged one of my hens when I tried that when he was a baby.....so we got rid of all our 2 year old hens...wish I didn't do that, but oh well!

I hatched 2 roos and a hen earlier this year and put them outside with the rest of my hens. I came home one day and one roo was gone, so I took as an opportunity to get rid of him because I only want one.

I was wondering about roos. I take it by your name you have bantams of something. Do you have Cochin Bantams?
