fighting breeds

I rescued a couple of young hens from a fighting operation. Not to worry, I don't have any roosters, they're just going to be pets.

I tried to do some research but can't find out much about the hens or even the breeds used in fighting. Does anyone know if these are typically nice birds or good egg layers?

Mine are still young but they are dark rust with a bit of black and it looks like they'll have pea combs. I think they are going to be pretty small. They have stiff tails unlike any of my other hens.
