I purchased 2 guinea fowl with my rooster and 3 hens. They are now 2 months old and have begun to fight with each other. The rooster who is the same age gets between them and tries to break it up but eventually he gives up. The 1 year old mama hen tries also and its of no use. I'm told I may have two males. Now what? They don't seem to be hurting each other, sort of play fighting, "boxing" grabbing the wattles and the top of the head, but it will eventually turn ugly right? I called the lady i purchased them from and she said she can't tell the difference until they get older. I can't separate them because they go insane apart!!! I know if this is the case a female will help but then I'll have to get two or three, I don't have the room and I'm sure my older hen will hate this! Help.

You have a potential problem on your hands for in the future. The two male Guineas will calm down and become a team but then their focus is liable to turn to your rooster. Actually it probably will. In the mean time they are doing what Guinea males do and its not a bit unusual, they are fighting over dominance.

Robin thank you very much for responding so fast, I will return the 2 guineas this week. Darn testosterone!
