Recently moved out to the country, and the family decided it would be great to have chickens. Talked with a friend who has chickens to get the basic information I needed to get started... and off we went to order chicks from the recommended local feed store.
So now I have 6 chicks in my brooder and I am planning my chicken coop. I hope to have it built by the time the girls are ready to move in.
I have an old horse lean-to, and an old play house that I plan to modify for the chicken coop. First I have to convince the varmint who lives in the hole next to the lean-to, that he wants to go meet his maker
