This is my first time hatching. We have chickens at home but have never hatched. I decided to do some in my classroom. We set the eggs on a Monday, March 13 but it was at the end of the day, 2:30 pm. Should we expect pipping at the end of the day into Tuesday, April 4th?

Usually I get pipping around the 19 and 20 day Mark and they hatch around the 21 and 22. You should expect pipping in the afternoon

Thank you, I was a little concerned when I didn't see anything this morning when we arrived at school. Will watch for it later in the afternoon

I candled on Friday before lockdown and they were where they were supposed to be.

Usually, if your temps are correct and they are going to hatch you start seeing external pipping day 20 and hatching day 21. If temps have been on the cool side, it will delay hatch and if it's warmer it will cause early hatching.

Temps have been 99.5/100 the entire time
