FIL diagnosed with lung cancer

For all the believers out there my family needs prayer. Found out a few minutes ago that DH's dad has lung cancer. It's never a good thing, I know he doesn't have long. Never do with lung cancer. He's never been much of a role in dh's life, but we love him the same. Please remember him.......

hugs and thanks to all of you. Our parents are ALL only in their 50's. We are in our 30's. Just feels to young to loose one. Just feels to young.....I guess you are never to old to need your parents. Kirk is trying to be strong, but I can tell he is upset. We'll know more tomorrow. FIL being admitted to the hospital for more testing and treatment of some kind. Found out there is something up with his kidneys also.

Just wanted to let you know the diagnosis isn't necessarily a death sentence. My MIL was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the lung 5 years ago at 71. She had the affected lobe removed.

Prognosis depends largely on the type and stage of the cancer as well as many other factors.

We'll keep you and yours in our prayers.
