I have a 12 day old baby chick who is lethargic. Not sure if it is a he or she. I suspect it is a roo. Anyway, he eat last night but looked lethargic and was a bit wobbly. He kind of hesitated to eat and drink. Even after he was born he didn't really want to drink so I don't see that very strange, though. Today he is still a bit wobbly, just wants to cuddle and sleep all day. If he isn't cuddled with he starts chirping. He also had pasty butt 2 days ago I am not sure if that is what caused him to go lethargic. Or if he is lethargic because we put him with these other chicks I bought at Tractors supply not to long ago. I got those baby chicks from tractors supply so he doesn't get lonely, he doesn't really want to be with them though. I believe those chicks are vaccinated. Those baby chicks could have passed a sickness to him but I am not sure. I have some pictures of his stool, this is how I confirmed that he is sick. He pooped some white and clear ish poop last night and this morning it is a bit brownish poop. How can I help this baby chick as I have grown attached to him. I am kind of sad, I do know that the worst can happen since he is weak and clearly doesn't look to good. WARNING: POOP PICTURES Please look at the stool pictures if you can.Last picture is from today. Any clue, any thing I can do to help of get better? plz help me figure it out

Him cheeping when you are not cuddling him indicates to me that he may be cold (either that or he has imprinted on you, which happens but is less likely). You mentioned that you bought more chicks for him to be with - is he getting pushed out from where the light is? What is the temperature in the center of the hot area? (You can put a meat thermometer like you use to check if your roast is done on the shavings directly beneath the light to figure this out.) Are you using a heat lamp or a heating plate? Does he get enough to eat and drink or are the other chicks pushing him away? You might try giving some Nutri-drench to perk up his appetite.

I can't comment on whether to treat for coccidiosis. Hopefully others will have some thoughts on the poop.

He isn't getting pushed from what I have seen. The other chicks aren't being mean or anything like that. They have peck his nails or feathers out of curiosity but I separated him as I don't want the others to get sick. Is there any other remedy I can try?

Try using the search function to check the Emergency forum using "coccidiosis" as a search term. See if his poop or symptoms sound similar to chicks that have that. Then if so, treat with CORID. Dosage should be in the threads you find. Other than that, I wouldn't know what to try.

You could feed raw or cooked egg yolk, or crumbled feed moistened with egg. For more energy, good source of protein and trace nutrients. Sorry I can't be more help.
