Does anyone have older hens? Can you help me out?

My _______(breed) hen is ______(age) and still laying ___(number) eggs per week.

I have raised most of my ladies from day old chicks and plan to keep them around until they're old and grey

. My hens are newly laying and some should start to lay any day now...I am just curious about what to expect when they pass their "peak" egg producing years

My BO hen is about a year old and is laying 0 eggs a week.

I just talked to a friend this week end who has EE's that are 8 YO and she is still getting about 3 eggs a week from each them.

I have a BO and RIR that are 1 1/2 and both are still giving me at least 5 a week. They both just started again after molting but apparently are making up for lost time.
