Out of our newest 10 we have 6 identified pullets and these 4 questionables.
These ones are now 13 weeks....no crowing, no agression, no interest in/from our older girls but new breeds to us so ????
Opinions would be very much appreciated....

Shania

Latifa

Ella

Dolly

Clockwise from left front (ignoring the Marans and RIR)....Ella, Latifa, Dolly, Shania

and Mystique..pullet foresure....

Thanks.....

We have been so hoping that. Our biggest "if" was Latifa with those curling tail feathers... she has funny curling wing feathers too.

Good point, especially since I've heard brahmas mature slower. Mine is an 11-wk-old dark brahma, and the darks have very different feathering for males/females. But so far her stance is very pullet-like. Maybe she's just a little frizzled. I have a friend with a barred rock pullet, with slightly curly feathers.

Thanks all...they are really lovely so we are hoping that we can keep them. No roos where we live unless we have over 10 acres although the bylaw is up for revision. Crossing our fingers as we have raised some really nice boys that it has been sad to say goodbye too...hoping to keep one one day!
