final question-plymonyh rocks

been browesing the net andd noticed that plymonth rocks and domiinques look the same,usally egg layers, and also there history crosses, are the samr bird , like jersey giants- black giants-white giants? or do they look the same and are completely differant

Doms have rose combs and a different body type, plus their barring is different than Barred Plymouth Rocks. Very different breed, though some people tend to call all barred birds 'domineckers'.Here is a great comparison.

Actually Plymouth rock is the breed and barred is a color in the breed. It is the first color made there are 7 total. Doms are only one color.

Yep and barred rocks are So popular that it is Not suprizing that people think of it as an only breed. The other most popular is white and the other 5 colors are very rare in the plymouth rocks. They are buff, partridge, columbian and sliver penciled. Some it is next to impossible to find breeders for these 5 colors.

Yes, and the Silver Pencilled are so handsome! Dick Horstmann used to breed those and I think he still does. Sells on Eggbid.

I was able to get some hatching eggs from Dick Horstman earlier this year. The stock I hatched looks very promising!
