Finally a chicken owner!

So, i've been a duck owner for quite a while now, 3 years after my 8 RIR's died i've decided to add some more chicks for my small flock. I found this add by my local breeder and decided to go up and ask her about them. she had some guineas, leg horns, barnyard mixes, americaunas, etc. I had my eyes on the red mixes and bantam mix, but I really want a guinea and ive never had any... any tips, for both the chicks and guineas how do I sex them? (I know how to sex everything else but the guinea fowls) thanks!

I don’t know much about guinea fowl, you may have to wait until they have feathered out. Try some YouTube videos those usually work.

Get at LEAST 5-8 guineas. They are flock birds. Females make a distinctive "Buckwheat" sound, and Males make a "chin chin chin" noise.

I’d also separate the guineas from the chickens... totally different anatomy there and no one wants your poor chicken hens getting hurt.
