Wow, that is cute. I love the mums, hard to believe autumn is here already. I will have redo the bottom half of mine with some of that fencing. I don't trust my chicken wire even though we have an electric fence around the bottom. I don't want anything getting my birds. Great job.

I really like your coop. Your setup is very similar to mine, in size and height, and the run is almost identical. But when I saw the inside, I thought, wow, the walls are painted white!! Mine are just plain barnboard. I immediately started to think of painting the walls. Thanks a lot!

I have five Buff Orps and have been trying so hard to get a decent picture of them. Your picture is perfect!

I used an exterior paint for the inside, I wanted to be able to clean it well and have the wood last longer since it took me forever to do. If I had more energy I would have painted the run post too.
I got the Nikon D-40 for my birthday, I really love it! Easy to use, takes great shots and not much more than some point & shoot cameras. I do want another lense for it but can wait for christmas.

I'm not sure if I should ask this here but when I first got my girls they used the roost bar at night, now it seems like they are in the nesting box at night togather. I scoop once a day and find most droppings there.
It's been warm during the day, 80's and drops down to 40's at night? Is this why, it's warmer for them? Does it matter where they sleep? They are 18 weeks old tomorrow. If they lay in the morning before I clean it would seem like the eggs would get really dirty.
Should I maybe put more hay down on the floor?
