So first off I have to give a shout out to Rino081. My coop was based on theirs with a few changes to make it fit me.

1- I should have definitely drawn out some plans... It would have been a lot smoother going if i had.

2- thank all of you for saying DO NOT get chicks until the coop is done. This took a bit longer than I expected... Like everyone said it would.

I am only planning on raising chickens for eggs for now and think I want a max of 6 but will start with 2 and see how it goes. My dad has a couple buff Orpington pullets for me and I think I want a sex link and a production red to go along with them.

Please tell me what you think. Also I know I need food, a feeder, waterer, some bedding, and a nest... Anything that I am forgetting?

Nice coop!

Mine has the same flooring and it's holding up very well. What are you planning to cover the floor with? I use 2" of sand that I clan up every day with a cat litter scoop. I tried deep litter but we live in the city and we had so many flies that I quickly switched to sand.

Is that space underneath the only outdoor area or will you have a chicken yard?

I plan on letting them roam my yard as well when I'm home.
