I've had Ameraucanas without the face muff too (she laid a blue egg). It looks like Miss Kona may not have one, right? Do your other Ameraucanas have muffs?

One of them has a lot of face muff. The other 3 have a bit and Miss Kona has none (yet at least). YAY! My kids are going to go nuts when they see the beautiful eggs they lay. I wonder when they begin laying?? I'm in Florida so we have warm weather through December usually. Hopefully we'll get some eggies this year!

Yeah the face muff threw me with her! I thought they threw in another breed on me. Can't wait to watch them grow! Congrats on your babies

Cool...fellow Floridian! My last Ameraucanas started laying around 5 to 6 months old so we should DEFINITELY see some colored eggs by early fall or so. The fun part is waiting to see what color. Mine laid blue and olive green.
