finally, eggs for sale.

I was at a thrift store yesterday and spotted one of those large, colorful plastic chalk board easels for kids. $3.99.
EUREKA! I finally have a way to advertise my eggs.
Today I put the Coleman cooler with eggs in cartons out there with the sign at the end of our driveway.
It's quite close to our cabin so now I have to try not to obsessively stare out the window waiting for my first customer.
We are right across the road from the firehall which is also where lots of people wait each day for the school bus to drop off and pick up kids, so I've got my fingers crossed.
BUY MY EGGS! PLEASE PLEASE. BUY MY EGGS! Okay, I'm obsessing. I better go play with the chickens instead.

OH MY GOD. Someone just stopped and got some eggs. YIPPEE! Now to go out and see if they actually paid for them.
Yup. They paid for 'em. The girls are finally gonna start paying for their food.

WOW! I actually sold 2 dozen today. I only had 3 dozen in there so pretty good.
Now I'll have to go out to the coop and squeeze the eggs outa those hens.
It'll probably be a few days before we have enough extras to put out again.
I'm still stoked though. Way to go girly-birds.
