Finally!!!! Eggs.

I have 15 hens hatched between May 5-June 10.

I have light brahmas, BA, Wyandotte, EE, Welsummer, and BO.

My 34 week Buff Orpington laid her first egg on the coop floor on Tuesday. We've gotten 3 eggs as of last night. I'm so proud of her!!!! I thought I was seeing things...I was so used to not having eggs that I kind of gave up.

So far they've all been perfect.




The eggs are all very similar in color...the lighting and flash just made them look different. We have another BO hatched the same day as this one but her comb isn't nearly as big yet.

More than what I've got. We have a 24 week old Pekin bantam, our oldest pullet. Her crest hasn't even turned red yet, we are still waiting. They have supplemental light etc

Oh I know....from reading on here I really started thinking I would possibly get eggs as early as 18 weeks. By December I had just given up and figured it would be spring or we had a weird batch of chickens.

It's hard to wait.
