Hi everyone! I am relatively new to this group. I joined a few months ago, but had not properly introduced myself. So, now is the time!
I "inherited" my sister's chickens when she moved away a couple of years ago. Little did I know how the little feathered peepers would steal our hearts! Now we are hooked with 87 chickens and 14 ducks!!! I ran across BYC doing chicken searches on the internet and am I ever glad I did. You have saved our flock and have taught us so much in such a short time! Everyone has been so knowledgable, supportive and doing business with a few of you has won me over. Kudos to Aubrey at Baggy Bottom Bantoms, (ducks) and Amy at West Knolls Farm (chickens) and Laura at Flying a Farm 1 (chickens). They have been such wonderful business partners. I'm sure I will someday sing the praises of many more in this group.
( I just tried to use the smile icon, humm... how do you all get the icon and not the text?)
Anyway, as you can see, I am still trying to catch on to things!
We live in Northwest Missouri, have three children, three cats, a rabbit, two monk parakeets, a neglected garden, and an ever growing flock of feathered beauties!
Thanks for making "newbies" like me feel so welcome!
