Here are a couple of pictures of our new chicken yard. We buried the fence in the ground to prevent predators from digging. I had fun making the dutch door.




The size is 24' by 24' to be used by 26 RIR chickens.

You will have some spoiled chickens! Looks great! Where are you located? That is a beautiful piece of land you have there. We just put the finishing touches on our new coop. I dug a foot down inside to put hardware cloth down. What a pain! And our coop footprint is only 5' x 16'!

I just happen to be located in the center of one of the most corrupt states in the union; Illinois. I live in the country, near Decatur, Ill.
Today I am cutting huge holes in the shed to put in ventilation louvers. I'm trying to get this stuff done before the chicks come out of the brooder and before cold weather sets in.
