Finally finished the walk in coop and run. The girls love it.

Beautiful space. Your chickens will love it and I'm sure you'll spend plenty of quality time enjoying your creation also.

Nice chicken cat. But can yours lay eggs?:)

Looks really nice. I like the nest boxes covering. Just a few observances. Chicken wire is not predator proof. Good at keeping chickens in, bad at keeping predators out. There are some gaps that you might want to make sure are reinforced with hardware cloth - like the roof area (I can't actually see what is there) and the corner where I can see the roost and the waterer.
I dont know what predators you have, buy mink and weasels (rats too) can get into the coop through those areas. They say if you can squeeze a hotdog through, it should be protected.
Maybe build a poop board (catcher) under the roost as that is where most of your poos will be from night deposits.
You might benefit from the deep litter method - there is plenty of info on byc regarding that.
:thumbsup

The inside of the coop is roughly 8x8. Chicken wire is ran up all walls and along the floor to keep digging preditors out. Two walls are made up of existing fence, one is the side of my house, and the front wall is framed with pressure treated 2x4 and fence pickets. The roof is coregated metal from homedepot. Everything is attached to the fence with exterior grade 3" screws. Nothing is attached to the house. To keep the wall from sinking down I sink some post into the ground and attached the wall to them near the house. I am very new to chicken raising but have experience in construction and being impulsive so that's how all this came about. I have read alot about raising them on this forum prior to purchasing 6 chickens (about 2 months old). I've had them about 2 weeks now and they are awesome. But the poop though!! Lol If anyone has advice or questions let me know. Thanks for the comments. Fancy! I’m so jealous!!

Nice! Not sure where you are located but that metal roof may "rain" on the inside with condensation.

That was something I never expected! At least when it does "rain" it's far less "rain" than what comes out of the sky :D

And @123brandon - :welcome

A beautiful setup! Lots of good advice here. Regardless, I wish I could make things that pretty :thumbsup
