WOW!! I've never seen an Emu chick! What's the deal with Emus? What are they like? What kind of temperament do they have? Anything? I've never known someone to own one!
 
I visit BYC only rarely; but this is Uno the Chick and Dad, Eric the Emu, sitting at the bottom of my garden. They will both eat from your hand, and you can pat the chick.

Eric and his offspring have been under observation for seven years.

Uno is Eric's 2014 clutch.

Known to us as kin are Eric, Mrs. Eric, Mrs. Noo-Eric, Greedy, Felicity, Number One, Boy Emu (and clutch -- observed), Noddy (good-sized clutch, sighted but not observed), Alpha, and Omega.

I might be a little late but this is so fascinating I can't wait till I see some eggs from my mine wish I could get some more but my friend gave the others away
