We just lost another one. The welshie seemed fine this morning, but went downhill fast this afternoon. Now we only have the Saxony. I put a stuffie and a mirror in there with her.

Now we're trying like crazy to find someone local who has ducklings, but all our farm stores are out. Nothing on Craigslist. Don't suppose anyone here has any ducklings I could buy? I'm in Ohio. I'll try the Ohio board, too. Thanks!

Aww...that's too bad. I hope you can find new friends for your remaining baby. Be sure to contact the hatchery if you didn't already. Maybe you can get a refund or even a replacement.

That's what I had assumed, but could it be some sort of disease? I think I read a post last week about someone who lost most or all of their ducklings from Cackle. I'll try and find it, see if the symptoms match.

I did already. They called me after the Cayuga passed and arranged for a replacement. Haven't heard back yet after this last loss, but I'm sure I will. They've been very responsive.

This little sweetie needs some friends. I've found several leads, but nobody has responded yet. On the plus side, we're getting plenty of one-on-one cuddle time with her.

I’m so sorry about the loss of two of your ducklings. We are in Ky, and got three from Metzer this week as well. I hope you are able to find friend or two for the one that is left soon.
