I have 23 chickens. 8 of them are going to be 2 years old this spring. The rest are going on a year or less. Its been a SLOW winter, only getting 2 or 3 eggs a day! But production has started up, especially with the EEs! Im getting lots of green, blue and olive eggs... with some brown and banty sprinkled in! The Wyandottes are still molting and the white egg layers are prolonging their "vacation" as long as possible, as I haven't seen a white egg since September!
Its good to have more than a dozen in the fridge again! And seeing lots of fertile eggs, so the boy is doing his job! Yippeeee! Here comes spring!
