I have seven 22 week old hens. Today we received our first egg. Not sure from who. Should I get the girls transitioned to layer feed, if only one is laying? Also curious when to start oyster shells.... thanks much

Start oyster shells now, and always/continually offer free-choice. This is best way for chickens to supplement their calcium needs. Even when you do decide to switch to layer feed (when most of your hens are laying) offer oyster shells free-choice.
Congratulations on your first egg. :thumbsup It is always exciting.
WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and:welcome
