I have to admit it’s been a work in progress. Our original coop was built 4 1/2 years ago but after hatching some babies and I want to keep a couple of them I decided I needed more room so I added an expansion area made out of welded wire. I added PVC pipe and aviary netting to prevent overhead predators. At night I have to close them up because I don’t want anything to get them but the original coup even has hardware cloth across the bottom so it’s pretty sturdy. We’ve got an automatic door coming in the next week or so that we are going to add to the outside wall of the big coop so that they’ll still be secure at night but I don’t have to get up so early to let them in the fenced area. Very excited!
