Thats interesting..... maybe you just need to get a smaller pic to try.

No that did not work either, I even downloaded it to my BYC "download" page and had it resized to "Avatar size" (100x75) then copied it to my photo program and tried to upload it as an avatar again (it's now 1"x.8") and it still wouldn't work I reduced the resolution so the pic was only 14.7KB and it still won't work. Maybe someone out there knows how to help us both? You with uploading pics and me with uploading my avatar.

BTW, When I uploaded pics for my page I just went the "uploads" tab at the top of the page (in the forum on blue bar) and then browsed for the photos I had just edited. I used Adobe Photoshop Elements but the photo editor you use shouldn't matter. Once dowloaded you can highlight either the "thumb" or "image" link - right click and hit "copy" then go to your page and after putting the curser where you want the pic to go (in Word it places a pic on the page kinda like it would place text, it just takes up a lot more room).

If none of this is helpful... then I don't know what else you could try. Like I said maybe someone can explain it better to both of us? I hope so, I really want an avatar and you probably want to post pics on your page just as much. GOOD LUCK!!!
