Finally got to see our new Daylilly today.

get one and help the cause..we need you..:wee:wee

Perhaps after I retire. Right now, my chickies, and gardening are consuming all of my creative energy. On that front, my pear scions both have "taken" and are growing well. I have 2 seedling pears, and a seedling apple that need to be moved out of the garden and planted where they can stay. They should be ready for grafting in 1 or 2 more seasons.

Hubby started ripping out a 5' x 30' bed between walk way and retaining wall. It's over run with roses that won't stay where they are supposed to (ie: invasive root system) and a mish mash of bulbs and perennials. He's a minimalist, while I like to fill a bed up. So... if and when we get this bed ripped out this summer, I'll salvage some of my day lilies from the edge of the ditch where the flower bed has been consumed by invading lawn, and start all over with day lilies and iris.

well shoot, that didn't take nearly as long as we thought. The new flower is a Diploid and sense they had the lineage of the parent plants and Dr Brinkley was bored the new flower was excepted. They gave us a date of 7-8-18 and excepted the name "Donna Girl". I lost 4 fans to the cause but, I still have 12 fans that are healthy. This flower will be in the new Daylily Garden at the spring show at the Bear Daylily Farm June 2019.
