8'x6' but no idea how tall it is (can you tell I didn't build it myself

), ventilation on all sides but the garage wall and can always add more once we get the chickens moved in and get use to the coop. There are a few things that need finished but nothing serious.

We're thinking the roost is about 3' up, not really sure if that will be too tall for them right now though, guess we'll figure that out tomorrow when they move in. We're planning on adding another roost against the south side. We moved in the nesting boxes after these pics were taken although the girls wont need them till fall. Depending on if the girls start sleeping in them I might take then out or just block them off.

The chicken exit door is actually a window turned on its side and locks on the inside. The material is tin and we'll be adding plywood walls inside this fall. Just laid vinyl on the floor and plan on putting down pine shavings for now until I find some straw. (Yes I know about sand, no we're not using it

)

There is hardware cloth in the windows. Shutters for the windows are in the making, hopefully we don't have any storms until they are done

. And that ramp is being cut down, the carpenter put that on but it's way too wide for the run set up we're doing.

Thanks for looking!

It looks like you have excellent drainage under your coop and you may have no problems. If it was me I would be inclined to have your floor up off the ground at least 10 inches or more.

On second glance I see your outside siding also serves as skirting from floor level to ground level.

Good thinking!
