Glad to hear your son is OK!!!

He's there for 15 months. Luckily he's at one of the larger bases iin Badgad. He says he hears bombs, mortars and gun fire constantly No wonder they come home different It has to be hard to hear that non stop. He at least has some comforts I feel sorry for the boys who are over there in the small field bases. Micki

Deb Do you know where he is in Iraq. My son didn't know where they were going until he got there. He went to Kuwait first for three weeks and then this past week was sent to Camp Liberty in Badgad. Where did he deploy from. My son was stationed at Fort Stewart in Georgia. That was great for us as its only a three hour drive so we saw him almost every weekend. This is his first deployment and I hope his last. Micki

I can't imagine what a parent in your position is going through. My best for a safe return for everyone and an end to the hatred that is spawning this whole mess.

:DThat is wonderful for you all , my son just enlisted, goes to bootcamp in Sept.......oh the fear I have.....God is good.......God is GREAT.. ... that is where I rest and only there.....so happy for you. I know someday I will be in your position......TELL HIM THANK YOU FOR ALL OF US "free" here in the U.S.

Thank you all for your good wishes. II wiill tell hiim everyone wishes hiim well. It is very hard when your child deceides to go into the service. Its very hard for me because I have never felt we should be over there. I support the troops one hundred percent and feel for all the mothers and wives that are left behind. When we went up to see him deploy I couldn't get over how young they all looked. Some were marrieid wiith young babiies but most were high school graduates. It was the parents there to see them off.I worry as to what they wiill be like when they see such horror.
Okiechicks57 I gave my son over to the lord the day he went to boot camp. He can keep him much safer than I can.Its the only way to see your child go and remain sane. Micki
