Yes, I finally talked my dad into getting chickens! I think we are going to get 7-8 RIR chicks. Mostly for eggs. can't wait i'm getting them April 13. any tips?

First of all, congrats on being a chick-to-be momma! Now for advice. The best advice I think you could receive is to read, read, read and learn as much as you can about these little buggers BEFORE they arrive! If you do this, you will be way ahead of the ball game!

It would also help a lot to have plans for a chicken coop. Even better, get it started! Post some pics when you get them!
