Finally in lock down again. * Update - pics!*

I woke up this am to several new chicks - including 1 of the EE mixes.

I now have 11 live chicks and 3 more pips. Middle of day 22.

so far - 12 of the 27 have hatched (1 drowned). Just a couple more & I'm at my 50% mark.

The final tally was 12 Buff orps out of an original 24 hatched, but 1 drowned himself (I hope it was a him) so 11 total.

4 EE's hatched out of the original 12.

Now - taking into account clear eggs and eggs broken in transit I had 24 eggs total that went into lock down (I subtracted 2 I found to be clear after the hatch was over).

So just over half that locked down made it out. Better than I expected & honestly the best rate I've had so far. I have the staggered hatch eggs due this Fri - after that I'm done for the year I believe.

Congrats on the new babys!!! Not a bad hatch at all! I can only hope mine will be anywhere close to that! I love Buff Orpingtons! I WILL get some soon!
