I'm just not sure about the giant fan right next to the roosts... @aart may have a better suggestion for placement.

Does looks a bit goofy...but not sure of the climate and whether fan is blowing air in or drawing air out.

Luckily the nesting box location I have designed is lower than the roosts. I'm trying to finish my tung oiled top that will create a slick surface so they won't be able sit on top and poop on it. It till needs several more coats. I plan on relocating some of the roosting boards once I get closer to mounting the nesting box.
And yes, the fan is not at an ideal location.......but I'm dealing with what's available and making some workarounds as things progress. Because of the amount of large trees on the perimeter of the chicken "area", the coop stays surprisingly cool even in the hot summer months (and with the cool weather right now, the fan has not been in operation). But, I will be making some revisions to that later (if not completely redesigning and rebuilding a new coop).

My biggest challenge right now is keeping the bantams from getting out. They're still so small that they can still fit between the 2"x4" metal grid fencing........hopefully they'll continue to grow and not be able to do this..........actually, their escape methods are decreasing so at least growth rate is improving.
