Currently I have 400+ birds. I do hatch out a couple hundred or so chicks every year and of course around half are males. Luckily I have a buyer. I have been selling to this gal for many years. She does re-sell them but at least I don't have to feed them any longer. We have a bimonthly farm swap and she comes and gets the birds. Good luck and have fun...
I do grow out my chicks and keep the best as future breeders. When the males hormones start kicking in I move them to bachelor coops and pens. As long as there are no females in the mix they do fine. These are my Rhode Island Reds. Again, good luck and have fun...
He might enjoy them, once he sees how beautiful they are running around . My husband has adapted and loves to see roosters roaming the yard. If mine didn't fight for dominance, I'd keep them all. they have such personality!
