Here she is:

Her feet are gray but almost greenish gray, and the bottoms are the same color as her legs, just slightly lighter.
So what's your verdict?

supposedly if you look at the bottom of the feet and they are yellow, it a JG; if they are gray, it's a BA

Where in Alabama? My daddy was from NW Alabama near Muscle Shoals....

My Alabama chicken story: my mom is from California and never really understood my dad's family or their "ways..." One time when they were visiting, my dad's grandmother went to catch a chicken for dinner. She was about 80 years old and small and wire-y. She ran all around the yard chasing the chicken until it went into the hay barn and up into the horse wagon. So my dad's grandmother climbed into the hay loft and jumped into the wagon, landing on the chicken!

Of course, she wrung it's neck with one snap of her wrist! My mom always told that story like it was the most incredible thing a little old lady ever did, but my dad always said, "well, how else was she gonna catch that chicken? It was supper time!"
