I have been reading here on BYC for a long time, and I finally decided it was time to join up.

We do not have any farm land yet, and we are just getting started, but hopefully it will not take too long!

Right now, yes. We are looking for the right property to start a small farm and flock. We have a house with a reasonable yard we might move to after we find the land,but before we get it closed on... In that case, depending on the time of year, we might get some baby chicks right before we get the land - but so much could go wrong with that, so we will probably wait.
