we just got our chicks yesterday! I'm having to name them since my daughter wants to name EVERYTHING Anna and Elsa. Grace (top of picture w/ two stripes) and Chica I've been reading up on this page for like 3-4 months just to make sure we could successfully have chickens in our apartment. it's a large apartment so two hens with their own room would fit happily. I only have ONE question (for now lol) has ANYONE used diapers on their chickens? I'm getting pretty good at timing when the chicks are more likely to poo (haven't seen them pee, which I assume they do.... can you tell I'm new at this?). The weather here as been in the mid 70's to low 80's so I've been letting them roam around the hard floor areas through out the day while keeping an eye on them showing signs of getting cold. I want them to eventually be able to have full access to our place accept for the kitchen, so any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Congrats on your new chicks! I don't have have experience of diapers but here is an article about them in this link https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/how-to-make-a-chicken-diaper-a-how-to-with-pictures hope you find it useful. Also if you type chicken diapers into the search box many threads come about them.
Your chicks won't wee it comes out in the poop.
Wishing you the very best of luck with them. Be sure to ask any questions you may have, everyone here to help and very friendly :frow

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to our flock. Raising chickens is a wonderful experience for children. My granddaughter (pictured in my avatar) names our chickens after Disney princesses and we have an Elsa and Anna in our flock as well.) Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your chicks.

Your two chicks are very cute! I once tried putting diapers on chickens, but they didn't work well and I gave up after a few tries. However, some people have had success. For information on keeping chickens inside as house pets, you may want to check out this link: people with house chickens

Good luck with your chicks!

Welcome to the flock. I think the diapers are more trouble than just wiping up messes as they make them. My friend has 5 bantam house chickens and she is ever ready to clean up after them. And her house does not smell.
