Lily has finally delivered an egg, albeit a soft shelled one laid from the perch and split on landing. Having had her since she was 8 weeks old, and knowing as a heritage breed she'd be relatively slow to lay, but I was beginning to wonder if there'd be nothing now till the spring. Instead it seems we will have eggs this winter :yesss: :drool Still waiting for her sister to start...

I have a glw that is sitting at 26 weeks and it feels like she will NEVER lay!
Share some pictures! I want to see the pullet, and maybe her second egg, since the first one broke. :fl

Congratulations!!! I am also wondering if I'll have to wait until spring to see an egg. Have 5 Cochin pullets that are 27 weeks old. I know they are slow maturing, but sure would be nice to get an egg or two before the snow flies.

here she is
