Finally met my predator match. Need help.

Raccoons are good climbers maybe a coon...

I overlooked the first part where he had problems with coons before.
One night something killed one of his chickens and ate the neck and crop.That was probably a coon.

Do you live near a stream\river? If so than it probably was a mink.

Don't remind me about minks. Back in 2023... some animal protest group broke into a barn full of minks and let them all loose. Literally hundreds of them.

Put it this way... They cleaned up the mess with a snow plow truck. Fortunately (so far) I haven't had to deal with minks... but I'm ready.

thats my vote. Something climbed in and took the bird. Coons can be very patient, crafty, climb, dig, pull, undo locks. Missing heads , Lots of vitamins in heads another trait of a coon.
