Our big girl Annie has been laying most days (I think they're sort of around 27 or so hours apart, so some days there was no egg) for a while now. I did notice a very strangely shaped egg on the floor yesterday (I asked the girls who laid it, but nobody owned up - typical!), it looked almost like it had no shell, but was rather large, and I wondered at the time if another of my girls was trying to lay.
So this morning, I go out to check and Annie's in the box, so I left her for a bit and came back, and sure enough, an egg. A little later I went to let them out and found ROSE in the box, and sure enough, a little later, another egg!
And a little earlier on, I noticed one of the still-isolated Bantams (we've only had them 2 days) wasn't out in the cage....checked and SHE'S in HER box....sure enough, half an hour later I check, and we have another egg!
